Labor and delivery observation

At this stage, one guest can be with you until you are moved to a labor room or discharged.

Labor and delivery

During labor, you’re welcome to have two (2) visitors other than the main support person, are allowed at a time.

  • Visitors will be asked to leave by the physician and/or nursing staff if maternal/fetal complications arise or due to disruptions caused by the visitor(s). 
  • Visitors under 14 will be restricted to siblings and must be supervised by an adult at all times. 
  • Any visitors not in the room with the patient must wait in the waiting room located on 5S. Visitors will not be allowed to wait in the hallways. 
  • Only one (1) support person may spend the night. 

Mother/baby postpartum

Visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Two (2) visitors other than the main support person and siblings of the baby are allowed at a time. 
  • Visitors under age 14 will be restricted to siblings and must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Only one (1) support person may spend the night. 

Neonatal ICU (NICU)/Intermediate Nursery (IMN) – Admitted Nursery Babies

  • Two (2) visitors, at least one must be a banded parent. 
  • Visitors under age 14 will not be allowed during RSV and Flu season (November – March). 

Services

Along with the fifth-floor waiting area outside Labor and delivery, there are other useful services for your family and friends available in the rotunda in the first-floor main lobby, including a 24-hour pharmacy and ATM.
