Primary care

Behavioral health consultants in primary care see members for brief visits to improve overall emotional health. This may include follow-up visits. Schedule on-line or call 1-800-813-2000 (TTY 711).

Specialty care

To connect with a specialty provider about mental health or substance use concerns, you can schedule online or call us at 503-249-3434 or 1-855-632-8280, weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No referral needed.

Addiction treatment

If you or a loved one needs treatment for substance use issues, or if you want more information about addiction and recovery, we’re here to help.

Call for a mental health or substance use appointment

If you or your dependent are unable to schedule a routine specialty care appointment within 15 days or an urgent appointment within 48 hours or have difficulty finding a provider who meets your cultural or specialty care needs, please call us at 1-855-632-8280, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or 1-800-813-2000 after hours. For urgent mental health or substance use care concerns, including after hours, call us at 1-866-453-3932.
 

Emergency

If you or your dependent needs emergency care for mental health or substance use, visit the nearest emergency room or call 988. For medical emergencies, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.  

Crisis

Call or text the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988. Spanish language and hard of hearing services are available.

When negative emotions take over, you can feel overwhelmed, anxious, and exhausted. These apps can offer both in-the-moment and ongoing support to help you make positive changes and become more mentally and emotionally strong. Try them today for help with stress, mood, sleep, relationships, and more. Available to members at no cost!

Calm 

The number one app for meditation and sleep.* Choose from over one hundred programs and activities, including guided meditations, sleep stories, and mindful movement videos.

Headspace 

Get help with sleep, stress, focus, and more. With hundreds of self-guided resources and one-on-one coaching, Headspace can help you create healthy habits that support emotional wellness.

If you have concerns about your care and would like to submit a message to member services, please fill out the form online

If you are a Washington resident and would like to file a complaint with the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, please submit online or call the commissioner's toll-free insurance consumer hotline at 1-800-562-6900.

*The apps and services described above are not covered under your health plan benefits, are not a Medicare-covered benefit, and are not subject to the terms set forth in your Evidence of Coverage or other plan documents. The apps and services may be discontinued at any time. 

The apps and services are neither offered nor guaranteed under contract with the FEHB Program, but are made available to enrollees and family members who become members of Kaiser Permanente.

Calm and Headspace can be used by members 13 and over.  

The Headspace app and services are not available to anyone enrolled in a Fee-for-Service (FFS) Medicaid program who receives health care services through Kaiser Permanente.

Eligible Kaiser Permanente members can text with a coach using the Headspace app for 90 days per year. After the 90 days, members can continue to access the other services available on the Headspace app for the remainder of the year at no cost.

Calm and Headspace are not available to Kaiser Permanente Dental-only members.
