About me

Welcome to my Web profile. I am one of the board certified pediatric and general anesthesiologists at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County.

Biography

I was born and raised in sunny Orange County and am lucky to have never left Southern California for my education and training. I received my bachelor’s degree from UCLA and then matriculated to UC Irvine for my medical training. I did my general anesthesiology training at UC Irvine Medical Center and then a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). I stayed on as faculty at CHLA and now have returned home to work at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County.

About my practice

One of my goals surrounding any surgery is to put the member/parents at ease as quickly as possible. Surgery is a highly stressful period and in my brief interactions, I try to alleviate as much stress as possible. As part of the pediatrics and general anesthesiology team, I am involved in many parts of the hospital including pediatric clinics/floor sedations, radiology sedations, GI clinic, and obviously the main hospital and outpatient surgery operating rooms.

How I thrive

I try to exercise regularly and set time apart from family to care for myself. I enjoy participating in sports (basketball, golf, and snowboarding) and am an avid supporter of my UCLA Bruins! My wife and our growing family enjoy traveling to new places and learning about new cultures.
