Doulas
What is a Doula?
A doula is a person trained to support a member's physical and emotional needs throughout the pregnancy journey.
What do they help with?
A doula's job is to help you before, during, and after your baby is born. While giving birth, a doula can focus on your needs and offer you ongoing support.
Doula services may include coaching, physical and emotional support.
How can I get a Doula?
These services are available to Medi-Cal members if you are pregnant or were pregnant within the past year. Medi-Cal members do not need to ask their doctor ahead of time to get these services.
