Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm pleased to introduce myself and share with you information about my practice.
Born in a beautiful small town in North India, I completed my medical school training in Chennai (in South India) with honors. My pursuit of education brought me to the United States. I completed my internship, residency, and a year as chief resident at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit. The challenges of a fast-paced intensive care environment contrasted with the management of complex lung disease appealed to me. The pursuit of fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine and the lure of sunny California weather brought to me to Stanford University. After three fruitful years of training, family ties drew me to San Diego, where I joined Kaiser Permanente. I am board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. I am an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians.
About my practice
With eleven other pulmonary specialists, I share an active, clinic-based practice specializing in the diagnosis and management of a variety of lung disorders. Additionally, we provide quality management of critically ill patients admitted to the intensive care units and offer inpatient consultation services to members admitted to the hospital with breathing disorders. I also have an interest in the management of patients with sleep disorder-related breathing. I believe in delivering the best possible medical care to all my patients in a compassionate, caring manner. To this end, our team will do its best to educate you about your health and help you lead a healthy life .
How I thrive
Outside of work, I strive to practice the healthy lifestyle I advocate to my patients. I enjoy running and playing badminton. My other interests include traveling and reading.
