About me

Welcome to my web page! Choosing a new physician is never an easy process. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know more about me and my practice. I hope you find the information helpful, and I look forward to working together to meet your healthcare goals.

Biography

I grew up in Northern California, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Since childhood, I have always enjoyed being active, and I try to be outdoors and in nature as much as possible. After high school, I moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, where I studied Biochemistry and played saxophone in the marching band — performing during halftime at the Rose Bowl is something I will never forget! I went on to earn a master’s degree at UC Davis in Viticulture and Enology — that’s right, grape growing and wine making. My research took me to Germany on a Fulbright Grant, and I continued my thesis work on pinot noir. While in Germany, I volunteered at the local hospital, where my interest in medicine was reignited. I attended medical school at UC San Diego and fell in love with women’s health during my first year. I moved to Chicago to complete my residency training at the University of Chicago, where I was the administrative chief resident. I am excited to be back in San Diego and to have joined the Kaiser Permanente team.

About my practice

More than ever, medicine is a team sport, and at the center is the member-physician relationship. I believe in preventive care based on current evidence and research, and I strive to provide comprehensive information that is understandable. My goal is to create a safe space where we can communicate and work together to make a healthcare plan that you feel satisfied and comfortable with.

How I thrive

I live my best life by spending time with my fiancé, family, and friends and by being as active as I can. Outside of work, you’re sure to find me in a group fitness class, running along the bay, enjoying a good game night, cooking, or tackling my latest culinary adventure: baking. I also enjoy traveling and am slowly checking off new cities from an ever-growing bucket list. I truly believe in wellness of the whole person, and I try to live that example.
