Where I practice
Welcome to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center and Orchard Medical Offices.
I was born in the Midwest and grew up moving all around the United States. Finally, I ended up finishing high school here in Southern California. I spent the next 18 years at UC, Irvine attending college, medical school, general surgery training, and finally plastic surgery training. I practiced plastic surgery for a short time in Northern California, but with great joy came home again here to Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles.
About my practice
Plastic surgery is an amazing field where medicine, science, and art combine to create an aesthetic form and normal function after a disfiguring injury or surgery. Our amazing team at the office and hospital strives to reestablish a sense of normalcy during what can be a very chaotic and stressful time. We all hope your experience will be as pleasant as possible. I find that the best plastic surgery results are when no one can tell that the patient had any surgery at all. They just look very good. This is my ultimate goal when performing surgery. In addition, I find it's vitally important that all patients are well educated on their surgical options so that we can make informed decisions together. Understanding the whole process before, during, and after a procedure can make an uncomfortable and sometimes overwhelming experience seem less disruptive and more manageable.
How I thrive
I am an avid jogger who enjoys marathons and half marathons. I choose races based on how cool the medal looks. It's important to have interesting medals to add to my collection. I try to enjoy every aspect of life and find through exercising and practicing medicine that I can continually challenge myself both physically and mentally. Having a healthy mind and body gives me the energy and drive to enjoy life with my patients, family, and friends.
