About me
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to introduce myself and hope that you find this information informative and useful. I feel fortunate to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family because of the meaningful relationships that I can develop with my colleagues and members, allowing me to take part in the total health care of our members.
Biography
As a young child, I was inspired to become a physician by my pediatrician. I was born and raised in Southern California. My undergraduate studies were completed at UCLA followed by my medical studies at Tulane University. I then completed my residency in Head and Neck Surgery at USC, after which I made one of the best decisions of my life: I became a Kaiser Permanente physician. I spent the next four years with Kaiser Permanente in Northern California where I started my family. After our first child, we made the move back to Southern California to be closer to our immediate families. It was an easy decision to continue with Kaiser Permanente in Southern California so in 2003, I joined the medical staff at the Woodland Hills Medical Center. Since then, I have enjoyed taking on different roles within the Medical Center including Chief of Head & Neck Surgery and Assistant Area Medical Director for Surgical Services.
About my practice
My approach to health care is aligned with the Kaiser Permanente promise: "To consistently provide high-quality, affordable health care in an easy and convenient manner with a personal touch." As physicians, we are entrusted with the care of our members. This is an important responsibility that should never be taken lightly and must not be neglected. I strive to provide compassionate care without hypocrisy, treating each member as I would my family, or even more so as I would want to be treated. Within Head and Neck Surgery, I enjoy the variety of medical problems that we see in members from the very young to our aging yet wise population.
How I thrive
Most of my time outside of work is spent with my family. I have a wonderful wife and three kids: two sons followed by a daughter. They provide me with a great sense of balance and contrast to my work life. We all like to travel so we regularly take family trips. I am somewhat of a "do-it-yourselfer," especially with yard work, which I enjoy regularly, providing me with both exercise and a break from my daily routine. I enjoy challenges, especially new experiences and adventures.
