Thank you for visiting my Web page. I am board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (also known as Urogynecology). I appreciate this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I enjoy my job and the people I work with here at Kaiser Permanente immensely, and I look forward to meeting you and becoming an active participant in your healthcare.
I grew up in the Bay Area and knew from a young age that I wanted to become a physician who specializes in women's health, like my mother. I attended college at UC San Diego and quickly fell in love with this beautiful city, and met the man who would eventually become my husband. I completed medical school at USC in Los Angeles, and then returned to San Diego where I finished my residency in Ob/Gyn at UC San Diego. Realizing that surgery and reconstruction were my strong suits, I continued my education and completed fellowship training at UC San Diego in Urogynecology. In the mean time, I found just enough time to get married to my college sweetheart, raise a puppy together, and give birth to a sweet little boy.
We are a team. Our wonderful staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, LVNs, and physical therapists work collaboratively to approach to your health care needs. We understand that pelvic floor disorders can be very personal and hard to talk about. We will carefully listen to all of your concerns and help you in the best way that we can. In our specialty we have a wide range of surgical and non-surgical treatment options. My specific interest is in minimally invasive surgical techniques, and I have the privilege to serve as the Regional Lead for Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery for Kaiser Permanente here in Southern California.
I am an avid traveler and spend much of my free time seeking fun and adventure with my family and friends. I love the ocean and you'll find me paddling about on my sea-kayak, stand up paddle boarding, swimming, and surfing, as long as the water isn't too cold! Trail runs through the hills with a stroller keep me in shape to handle summer backpacking trips with friends in the Sierra Nevada. On the rare days that it rains, I'll devote my energy to watercolor painting or drawing.
