About me
Hi, my nickname is Frankie. I'm happy to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. One of my top priorities as your physician is to ensure that you feel at ease and comfortable throughout your care, and I hope this page will help you get to know me.
Biography
Although I grew up in Texas, Southern California — specifically San Diego — has always felt like home. It was the destination for our annual family vacations, and some of my fondest childhood memories with my older sister, parents, and grandmother were made there. My grandmother lived with us until she passed away at the age of 97. She was an optimist and loved to laugh. Her father was a cardiologist in Hungary, and hearing stories about him sparked my initial interest in medicine, particularly cardiology. My parents were also in the medical field and instilled in me the value of hard work. My older sister, one of my role models, works as an orthodontist. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found and married my wonderful wife, and we welcomed our first child in August 2023.
About my practice
Growing up in a small town in Texas, I had the unique experience of accompanying my father, a physician, on several house calls. Through these experiences, I saw firsthand the impact of the doctor-patient relationship, and several of these patients became some of our closest family friends. In fact, one of my most cherished childhood Thanksgivings was spent with the first family we met during a house call. Now, as a physician myself, I am dedicated to building strong connections with members and their families by attentively listening to their concerns and giving them my undivided attention during their visits. I understand that the doctor-member relationship is a partnership, and I strive to meet members where they are in their health journey, offering guidance and support every step of the way.
How I thrive
My most fulfilling days also tend to be my busiest, a trait I’m sure I inherited from my mother, who always seems to be on the go. One of my favorite aspects of cardiology is the wide range of practice opportunities it offers, from bedside procedures and image interpretation to comprehensive clinical care. I thrive when I can engage with all these elements, using the full spectrum of cardiology to provide high-quality member care. After a busy day, I reset by spending time with my family. We frequently take walks to the beach and are currently teaching our son how to swim. Some of my favorite hobbies include tennis, surfing, and golf.
