Where I practice
Hi, my name is Bimal Gandhi. Please feel free to read the information below as you get to know me and my role at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego.
I was born and raised in San Diego, and have always considered Southern California my home. I attended the University of California, San Diego as an undergraduate, where I studied bioengineering. Next, I went on to complete my master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Eventually, I decided that I enjoyed working with patients, which led me to the field of medicine. I was lucky enough to complete an internship in internal medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. I used this as a launch pad that led me to my joy and passion, anesthesiology.
About my practice
My role as an anesthesiologist is to care for you during the perioperative period. I enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, keeping members safe and treating acute pain by using skill sets I have cultivated over my career.
How I thrive
I am a firm believer in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. When I'm not in the operating room, I spend time exercising and eating healthy foods (most of the time). I enjoy traveling with my family and showing my children what the world has to offer. I spend as much time with my family as possible. I enjoy making my own pizza from scratch, running along the beach, and surfing when the waves are good!
