Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I hope this introduction helps you get to know me as a person and as a physician.
I grew up and went to school in the Pacific Northwest. In college, I studied bioengineering, which allowed me to combine my interests in physiology and mechanics. I gravitated toward the medical field when I realized medicine could allow my interests to be directly applied to people in a face-to-face manner and help people when they needed it most. I attended medical school at the University of Washington before completing residency in internal medicine at Washington University in Saint Louis. I completed my gastroenterology fellowship at University of San Diego before joining Kaiser Permanente. I am lucky to work with great colleagues on a daily basis and help serve the diverse patient population in San Diego.
About my practice
I am a general gastroenterologist that sees a wide range of members. I have an interest in disorders of the esophagus and pelvic floor. We have a phenomenal team of medical assistants, nurses, and gastroenterologists who all work together to deliver excellent care.
How I thrive
Family has always been the most important aspect of my life, and keeping up with them is a constant highlight for me. Aside from family, I enjoy outdoor activities, and most weekends you will find me in the ocean or the mountains, depending on the season. Traveling has quickly become a strong passion of mine, and I continue to try and see as much of the world as possible.
