By the time you're 6 weeks pregnant, your baby is about the size of a lentil. Your baby's:

  • Lungs are beginning to form
  • Brain and nervous system are quickly developing
  • Arm and leg buds have lengthened, with feet and hands starting to appear
  • Fingers and toes are starting to develop
  • Head is developing a small sac on each side where the eyes will form

The inner ears, digestive system, and respiratory system are also starting to develop.
