Medical Financial Assistance (MFA)
The MFA program provides financial assistance to qualified patients who are having difficulty paying their medical and pharmacy bills.
Eligibility and guidelines
The MFA program is available to patients that have an outstanding bill for health care services, appointments, or pharmacy prescriptions through Kaiser Permanente. Patients may be eligible if their family income is at or below 300% (for applicants in Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.) or 400% (for applicants in California, Oregon, and Northwest Washington) of the federal poverty guidelines. Patients may also be eligible if they have unusually high medical and/or pharmacy expenses, regardless of household income.
Paper applications and guideline materials are available in other languages. Learn more about the MFA program
