About me
I grew up in Evergreen and from an early age learned to appreciate the gift of living in Colorado. Each day I am thankful that my wife and I are able to raise our children here. I attended Colorado State University where I majored in microbiology. I worked as a research scientist at the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden. I enjoyed the challenges of research but did not feel like I was making a positive difference in the lives of others. My brother, who is a family medicine physician, inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. As a physician I have achieved the greatest reward of all – being able to make a positive difference in someone’s life. I am honored to work with an amazing team of providers and compassionate staff who are focused on helping patients live well.
About my practice
As a general dermatologist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to all ages and demographics. I believe in partnering with patients. I like taking time to get to know you, focusing on your concerns and questions without judgment. I enjoy helping to find solutions to the problems you are experiencing. My practice encompasses general medical and surgical dermatology. I am fortunate to work with a diverse team of dermatology providers so that patients requiring more focused expertise have convenient access to specialists in pediatric dermatology or surgical dermatology.
How I thrive
I am actively involved in the cycling community and compete in cycling competitions at a high level. I enjoy time with my wife and three young boys. Most weekends I am at a youth soccer game or swim meet quietly planning my next cycling adventure.

Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
