About me
I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma before completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma and moving to Texas to complete medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. I was lucky enough to move to Denver afterwards, completing my internship at Saint Joseph Hospital and then ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado. I fell in love with all the outdoor recreational activities here in Colorado and it is so rare to find a state with so much to offer year-round. During the winter months I enjoy skiing, and during the rest of the year you can find me hiking, mountain biking, and racing around our local racetracks!
About my practice
I am a comprehensive ophthalmologist, meaning I care for a wide variety of ocular conditions. Most of my practice consists of managing glaucoma, diabetic eye conditions, age-related macular degeneration, corneal disease, and cataracts (including cataract surgery). I love ophthalmology because vision is so valuable to our quality of life, and as a result it is extremely rewarding when I can help improve that. My goal is to make sure my patients feel comfortable, that their concerns are addressed, and that I provide the highest quality care that I can.
How I thrive
My biggest hobby is my interest in cars and motorsport. Since college, I have enjoyed participating in local amateur motorsport events like autocross and open lapping at the larger racetracks. I have been pleasantly surprised with the amazing car community and sheer number of available events and tracks in the Denver/Colorado Springs area. One of my favorite things to do is explore the fun mountain roads with my friends after work or on weekends, enjoying the sunshine and crisp mountain air. You’ll also find me exploring our local hiking trails and mountain biking in the summer. In the winter, my focus turns to skiing at our local resorts, although you may sometimes find me racing around the ice on Georgetown Lake when it freezes over!
