About me
I am originally from Herefordshire, England. I moved to the U.S. in 2009 with my American wife and one son. We have now expanded that collection to three sons and have lived in San Diego for nine years. My wife and I have always loved Colorado and Denver in particular. Having grown up in the outdoors I wanted the same for my kids, and as such, we found our way to Denver.
About my practice
Anesthesia for many patients represents the fear of the unknown. As an anesthesiologist, I have limited time to get to know my patients, as I typically don’t meet you until your day of surgery. I do my best in the time available to emphasize that you are my focus during your entire time in the operating room. I review your electronic medical records to see the big picture of your health, and listen to understand your questions and concerns. I practice medicine as if my mother was the patient at all times (I like my mother). If my patients return to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) comfortable, safe and better off after surgery, then I am a contented doctor. I practice all types of anesthesia, but my primary interest is cardiothoracic anesthesiology.
How I thrive
I love early morning runs with my dog. 4:30 a.m. with no one else around is my favorite time of day. I grew up on sports that most Americans would consider obscure – rugby, cricket, soccer. Since being in the states, I have come to love football and basketball. My wife tells me I would watch chess if it was televised.

If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
