Where I practice
About me
Originally from India, I was born in a city called Hyderabad, which is nearly the same size as New York City. I moved to the U.S. to pursue higher education after graduating from medical school. I completed my internal medicine residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine – St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. After practicing internal medicine for four years, I went on to complete my fellowship in oncology and hematology in St. Louis, Missouri.
I eventually moved to the beautiful state of Colorado to join the exceptional team of oncologists at Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
As an oncologist, it is deeply meaningful and rewarding to care for patients during one of the most difficult times in their lives. I strongly believe in open communication, shared decision-making, and evidence-based medicine. I strive to empower patients with the latest advances in oncology, including clinical trials - so they can make informed decisions on their journey to recovery.
Every patient is unique, and I believe in developing personalized treatment plans by spending time listening to their needs. I care for the whole person by valuing emotional, cultural, and spiritual beliefs, and by placing a strong emphasis on quality of life. This holistic approach is made possible through the dedication and compassion of my incredible team at Kaiser Permanente.
My Cancer Subspecialty Focus
I treat all types of cancers and hematologic conditions, with special clinical interest in breast cancer, colon cancer, gynecologic cancers, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and benign hematologic disorders.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I work as part of multidisciplinary teams that include experts in medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, pathology, and other specialties. These collaborative teams help ensure that each patient benefits from the most comprehensive, individualized, and evidence-based treatment plan available—particularly those with complex cancers such as breast and gynecologic malignancies.
Research & Clinical Trials Involvement
I participate in several National Cancer Institute–supported clinical research networks, including the SWOG Cancer Research Network, National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and NRG Oncology.
As a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials, I help to bring forward new and promising therapies for patients in our community. I am also committed to research in cancer survivorship, aiming to improve long-term health, reduce recurrence risk, and enhance quality of life beyond treatment.
How I thrive
I thrive with the amazing support of my husband and 2 boys. I enjoy cooking and gardening, which also helps me relax. Living in such an outdoorsy environment, I enjoy hiking and spending time watching beautiful sunsets.
