About me
I graduated with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at University of Denver. I am passionate about empowering people to learn and use the behavioral health skills needed to thrive.
About my practice
A Behavior Medicine Specialist (BMS) is a licensed psychologist or licensed clinical social worker who works in the medical office alongside primary care physicians to support your total health. Having behavioral health support in primary care is a unique service available at Kaiser Permanente medical offices. You won’t have to schedule a separate behavioral health visit simply to ask questions and determine what you might need. If you need specialty care, your behavior medicine specialist or primary care physician will discuss this with you and help you get connected to the services that are best for you. The role of the BMS varies depending on your individual needs. In general, the BMS can screen for mental health and substance use issues, provide short-term appointments to reduce symptoms which may be causing you distress and improve your daily functioning. They are also a great resource to connect you with appropriate services if you need more specialized services, and they will help to coordinate your care so your primary care team members and specialty care providers are working together to provide your care. In many cases, a few brief appointments with a BMS in your primary care medical office is all that is required, but if longer-term services are needed, the BMS can assist with scheduling an appointment in a specialty behavioral health clinic.
How I thrive
I enjoy singing, birding, and reading psychological thrillers.

- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references

When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
