About me

I grew up in rural Missouri and attended college at Saint Louis University, where I graduated with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. I continued my education by obtaining my medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. To help broaden my understanding of local and global health disparities, I volunteered for a medical mission in Southeast Asia, where I spent 6 weeks serving communities in dire need of health services. I continued my medical journey in Phoenix, Arizona, through the University of Arizona at Banner University Medical Center (formerly Banner Good Samaritan Hospital). At Banner, I completed my ob/gyn residency training. During residency, I was honored to receive the Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Also, during my time in Arizona, I met my now husband. Following training, we spent the first 4.5 years of my career in Northern California’s wine country where I worked as a private practice ob/gyn and mentor to family medicine residents. In the heart of the 2020 pandemic, we welcomed our son, who has been the light of lives. By the end of 2021, we moved to Denver to be closer to our families and many of our friends. We have loved our time here so far.

About my practice

Women’s health has always been a passion of mine and pursuing a career in ob/gyn became the perfect fit. There is no other specialty where you can grow with your patients from treating menstrual disorders in teenage years to pregnancy in adulthood and then the menopausal transition later in life. It truly is the most unique specialty. I love being a generalist as it allows me to practice my specialty in its entirety. I love being able to help a family navigate their fertility, preconception, pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum course. Outside of pregnancy, I am available to help with the complexities of contraception, safe sexual practices, healthy living, minimally invasive surgical needs, and reproductive/menopausal changes. I have always been a firm believer in patient autonomy. No one can know another person’s body better than they know themselves. For this reason, it’s incredibly important to me that my patients feel completely heard. I’m here to help them reach their goals by providing them with the information and knowledge to make the best decision for their own health.

How I thrive

My friends and family would call me an eternal optimist.  I truly love to smile and make those around me happy, comfortable, and relaxed.  I want to be a good role model for my family and those around me, so it’s important to me to practice what I preach. For this reason, I do my best to follow a healthy diet (with necessary moderation) and exercise most days of the week. When not practicing medicine, you can find me enjoying my time with my boys and our 2 beloved boxer dogs, Ajax and Mona. I also spend my free time cooking both new and old recipes, enjoying the outdoors, hiking, camping, traveling, and scuba diving. One fun fact is that my husband proposed to me while scuba diving in the Cenotes of Tulum, Mexico, and yes, I did remember to breathe.

Information in this online directory is updated periodically and applies to commercial plans underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.

Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:

  • Size and demographics of the population to be served
  • The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
  • Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
  • Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references

You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.

An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
