Where I practice
About me
I grew up in a small farm town in northeast Colorado and attended college at the University of Colorado at Boulder on a Boettcher Scholarship. At CU Boulder I studied biochemistry, I played rugby, and I was lucky enough to study abroad and volunteer in many developing countries around the world. I then attended medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Anschutz Medical Campus, where I met my wife, who is a pediatric oncologist. When we’re not practicing medicine, we’re with our kids traveling and enjoying everything Colorado has to offer.
About my practice
I specialize in issues of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. I love the mechanics of the musculoskeletal system. I get to repair, augment, and modify those mechanics to help people and get them back to doing things they want to do and love to do—whether that is an activity or sport, playing music, playing with their kids, or working to provide for their families. I am privileged to be able to help guide people through challenging issues and injuries affecting the hand and upper extremity, discuss operative and nonoperative treatment options, and to help them to regain as much function as possible.
How I thrive
I thrive by prioritizing meaningful connections, personal well-being, and creating lasting experiences with the people who matter most to me. Spending quality time with family and friends keeps me grounded and energized, while exercise helps me maintain both physical and mental balance. Most importantly, I find fulfillment in sharing experiences with my children—whether through travel, everyday moments, or new adventures—and being present as they grow and learn. Those relationships and experiences are what motivate me, provide perspective, and allow me to bring my best self both personally and professionally.

Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
