About me
I grew up in a small town in Missouri. I did most of my medical training in Kansas City and then spent an extra optional year of training in critical care at The Ohio State University. I had visited Colorado many times over the years and had decided a long time ago that I would love to live here due to the amazing weather (lots of sunshine!), access to many outdoor activities, and focus on a healthier style of living. I had dreams of becoming a physician as a child, which evolved over the years but ultimately led me to my dream job here at Colorado Permanente Medical Group. I come from a small town with working class parents and I, like my colleagues, worked very hard and spent many years training for my job as an anesthesiologist.
About my practice
As an anesthesiologist, I feel honored to have your trust and I know I only have a short period of time to gain it while you are awake. I do my best to make every patient feel like a VIP. I make sure to try and ease your anxieties and explain what I do as much as possible because I know the idea of anesthesia can be very scary! I work closely with my colleagues in both surgery and anesthesia to ensure our plan of care is the safest for you, because the patient always comes first. I enjoy taking care of patients from all walks of life.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with my daughter and watching her grow. She helps keep me grounded and remember what is important. I also have a dog and a cat, and I love taking my dog for walks. I enjoy getting exercise in a group setting as well as running. I love spending time outdoors, especially going for hikes and just sitting on my deck in the sunshine. I also love that I work with a close-knit group and enjoy spending time with my colleagues outside of the operating room.

Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
