About me
I grew up in California, but I have lived in Colorado for most of my life. I went to the University of California, Berkeley where I majored in pre-med along with Spanish language and literature. I learned at an early age that I love working with people. I was intrigued by medicine as a discipline and profession that could bring people together from around the world to help others. I went to medical school at Georgetown University on a U.S. Air Force scholarship. After my residency in OB-GYN at the University of Colorado, I served in the Air Force at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. After leaving the Air Force, I was lucky enough to come to Kaiser Permanente. I now live in Boulder and am fortunate to have a wonderful and supporting wife and three daughters. The most rewarding aspect of my career has been getting to know other people and working together to make a difference in people's lives. I also work extensively with Colorado Permanente Medical Group’s Department of Medical Informatics. In this role, I work to deliver and optimize cutting-edge technologies that improve the patient care experience for our members and providers. This work has been very satisfying as it allows me to impact patients throughout our region, and improve the job satisfaction and quality of care delivered by our fine medical providers.
About my practice
I chose OB-GYN because I wanted to make a difference! I consider myself a feminist who believes women should be treated with respect, honesty and dedication. The opportunity to provide care for another person is based on trust, communication and collaboration. The majority of the time spent with my patients involves sitting down and getting an understanding of who they are, what they enjoy doing, and how I can help. My team and I work together with our patients to collaborate and coordinate a care plan that addresses each individual’s views and concerns. Everything works better when everyone feels listened to, respected and engaged in the plan moving forward. In medical school I became particularly interested in anatomy and surgery. As my career moved forward, I found that interest continued to grow. My partners look to me as an expert and resource in pelvic surgery. In 2014, I became board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology) and continue to provide a comprehensive practice that takes into account every aspect of a woman's health.
How I thrive
I fell in love with Colorado the moment I set foot in this state! You can find me in my spare time either trying to keep up with my daughters or enjoying all that Colorado offers. I ski, swim, run, hike, cheer for my family, get involved in my community and world, and teach Sunday school! I have been involved with medical missions to Central America, South America and Asia. I have dedicated myself to service of people both here in our community as well as around the world.

- Size and demographics of the population to be served

- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
