Where I practice
About me
I grew up on a dairy farm in northern Wisconsin. I moved to Madison where I earned a bachelor's degree in social psychology. After serving 2 years with the US Peace Corp in Kenya, I attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. I then completed residency in OB/Gyn and a master's in public health back home at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After OB/Gyn residency, I joined the medical school faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I subsequently served as Medical Director for the residency program's Arboretum clinic, held the Jeannie Bissell Endowed Professorship in Reproductive Justice, and worked with the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services as Co-Chair for the state's Maternal Mortality Review Committee and Medical Director for Reproductive Health and Family Planning.
After becoming an empty nester, I moved to Denver to complete fellowship training. I now specialize in maternal fetal medicine, also known as MFM or perinatology. I was thrilled to join Kaiser Permanente’s MFM practice in 2024. It is such an amazing and top-notch group of physicians, and I feel fortunate every day to provide the best possible care for our patients.
About my practice
My practice is focused on prenatal fetal diagnosis, which sometimes includes prenatal genetic testing, and management of maternal health conditions during pregnancy. I love to collaborate with my patients, their families, and many other specialists to make sure each pregnant person has a comprehensive plan of care focused on their unique situation. I strive to keep up to date with evidence-based practices while always maintaining a focus on the individual needs and values of each patient. This would absolutely not be possible without the amazing teamwork of our clinic staff, sonographers, nurses, and managers. It's all teamwork!
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my kids, cuddling my cat Jessica, practicing yoga, and being outdoors hiking, camping, and skiing. I've recently taken up trail-running, and although I'm really bad at it, it is a wonderful way to explore the foothills of the Rockies and the local trails. I absolutely love the Colorado landscape and have enjoyed so many gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from my office window over the Denver skyline.

When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
