About me

I grew up in a small town outside of St. Louis, Missouri, where I had the opportunity to watch both of my parents practice as internal medicine physicians. I saw firsthand the profound impact they had on their patients and on the community and always felt drawn to a future in primary care.

My educational background began at Saint Louis University, where I earned a degree in healthcare management and policy. I then went on to complete my medical degree at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by my family medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

My journey in medicine has been shaped by diverse global experiences, including volunteer medical work in Honduras, Nicaragua, Ghana, and the Philippines. These opportunities provided me with a broad perspective on health care, though I am equally proud of the work I’ve done closer to home.

Colorado has always held a special place in my heart. It was the destination of yearly childhood ski trips, the place where my husband and I got engaged and later married, and where we’ve chosen to raise our 2 daughters and golden retriever.

The most rewarding part of my day is the opportunity to truly listen to my patients. I strive to ensure every person I see feels heard and understood while we make evidence-based decisions together. Whether we are celebrating a health milestone or navigating a difficult new diagnosis, I consider it a privilege to be a trusted partner in my patients' health journeys.

About my practice

I chose family medicine because I find genuine joy in caring for patients through every age and stage of life. There is something uniquely rewarding about growing with a patient over time and, in many cases, having the privilege of caring for an entire family unit.

To me, health care is not just about treating a symptom, it is about understanding the person behind the diagnosis. I believe that building a solid foundation of trust is critical to providing excellent care. My communication style is rooted in thoroughness and transparency. I frequently hear from my patients that they appreciate my detailed approach, as I strive to ensure that every individual feels truly heard and understood. We will work as a team to make evidence-based decisions, ensuring you are an active participant in your own health journey.

I enjoy the sheer variety that a typical day in family medicine brings.  I have particular clinical interests in preventative health care, women’s health care and family planning, weight loss medicine, mental health support, and dermatologic care and procedures.

How I thrive

When I’m not in the clinic, you can usually find me outdoors with my family - camping, snowboarding, hiking, playing pickleball, or working toward a goal of visiting all 63 national parks.

If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.

Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:

  • Size and demographics of the population to be served
  • The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
  • Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
  • Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references

You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.

An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
