About me
I am a second-generation Colorado native. I attended Cherry Creek High School, where I was a multi-sport athlete. I continued my academic and athletic career at the U.S. Air Force Academy. I was fortunate to study biochemistry and play quarterback for the Falcons, earning academic all-conference honors and an NCAA postgraduate scholarship. I then went to medical school at prestigious Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. I did my residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California, Davis. Following my formal education, I served 9 years on active duty in the Air Force, including one tour in Afghanistan. I was honored to work as an orthopaedic surgeon for active duty members, dependents, and veterans. I am glad to return home to Colorado and continue treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. I have over 10 years of experience in treating fractures and sports injuries. I also have extra training in adult hip and knee reconstruction as my practice is focused on hip and knee replacement surgery. I am honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2022.
About my practice
Years of service dedicated to maintaining the health and activity level of our active service members, as well as my own athletic background, give me a unique perspective in sports medicine and treating musculoskeletal disorders. This includes fracture fixation and complex ligament and cartilage reconstruction. Mobility is a vital aspect of both physical and mental health. This is why I am passionate about joint replacement surgery and restoring patients to high levels of activity. I treat traumatic and sports injuries for all ages.
How I thrive
My time away from work is dedicated to faith, family, and sports. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife and three incredible daughters. Together, we enjoy multiple sports, including soccer, tennis and basketball. We also look for any opportunity to take advantage of the Colorado outdoors by skiing, hiking and biking. As a Christian, I believe every person is uniquely created and loved by God. As such, everyone should be treated with love and respect. All patients are deserving of and receive my very best effort, compassion and care.

- Size and demographics of the population to be served

- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
