Where I practice
About me
Originally from rural South Dakota, I ventured westward for my education and medical training. Now, I am fortunate to practice oncology in the beautiful state of Colorado, where I am surrounded by a vibrant medical community and the stunning outdoors. My passion lies in practicing evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes and add value to their care journeys.
About my practice
It is a privilege to care for patients with both malignant and benign hematologic conditions. I strive to deliver personalized, high-quality care rooted in communication, clarity, and compassion. I believe treatment goals should be aligned with each patient’s values and life priorities. I rely on trusted research and evolving clinical data to guide shared decision-making and ensure that the care I provide is evidence-based and forward-thinking.
My Cancer Subspecialty Focus
I have a particular clinical focus on gastrointestinal, genitourinary, head and neck cancers, and sarcoma, in addition to providing care across the full spectrum of cancer types and hematologic conditions.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I participate in multidisciplinary teams composed of medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, pathology, and related specialties. Together, we collaborate to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans. This team-based approach ensures our patients—especially those with gastrointestinal cancers—receive the most current and effective care aligned with national best practices.
Research & Clinical Trials Involvement
I am involved in several prestigious National Cancer Institute–supported oncology research networks, including the SWOG Cancer Research Network, National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and NRG Oncology. As a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials, I help bring innovative and promising therapies to patients in our community. My research also focuses on cancer survivorship, with a goal of supporting long-term wellness, reducing complications, and minimizing the risk of recurrence.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I thrive with the amazing support of my family and my 2 beautiful daughters. I enjoy frequent exercise and outdoor activities such as backcountry skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.
