About me
I am originally from New Mexico and have lived in various parts of the country, including New York, California, Hawaii, and Colorado. I attended CU Boulder for my undergraduate work and California Institute of Integral Studies for graduate studies in integral counseling psychology. Throughout my role as a clinical therapist, I have had the opportunity to work with many children, adolescents, families, and couples. As a therapist, I find great joy in helping people gain or regain a sense of purpose and passion in life. I especially appreciate working with victims of trauma and substance use issues that stem from traumatic incidents. I am moved every day by the strength I see in patients who take courageous steps towards change. I am skilled in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and addressing the intersectionality of our identities.
About my practice
The chemical dependency treatment services at Kaiser Permanente provide high-quality, affordable care to members seeking treatment for substance use. We also provide services to family members who may be affected by a loved one’s substance use. We have a defined range of care which uses the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to inform and direct appropriate care. Group therapy is a principal component of chemical dependency care. Patient treatment goals are designed to meet individual needs while considering the individual’s readiness and motivation to change.
How I thrive
I consider self-care a moment to moment discovery of self. Thriving for me includes biking along the beautiful bike paths, exercise, hiking in the mountains, taking a dip in the hot springs, sharing time with friends and family, and a healthy dose of “doing nothing” with a quality novel or TV show. I love trying new recipes and growing vegetables in my garden.

Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
