About me
I am originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, and I have lived all over the East Coast so I can consider myself an “East-Coaster” through and through! I initially moved to Colorado to complete my training, however, once here I fell in love with its people, culture and traditions. As a result, my husband and I decided to put down roots and recently welcomed our first child! The most rewarding part of being a physician is helping to relieve the pain and suffering that my patients experience. I approach treating each patient as I would my own family. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2020.
About my practice
I am board certified in general preventive medicine and public health, as well as addiction medicine. I believe that medicine should be approached from both a preventive and a treatment standpoint. My area of interest is the treatment of patients with concurrent chronic pain and substance use disorders. We are presently in the midst of an opioid and chronic pain epidemic, and I believe their concurrent treatment is key to curbing each epidemic. I strive to continually acquire new knowledge that will prove helpful to my patients. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t seek to learn something new. I believe medicine should be evidence-based and applied with thoughtful consideration. When I work with patients, I want them to know that they are getting the best version of me! I listen to understand their questions and concerns, so we can make a coordinated treatment plan that appropriately meets their needs.
How I thrive
I thrive by being mindful in thought, work and deed. I enjoy spending time with my husband and son. I strive to be fully present to appreciate all life has to offer.

The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. Kaiser Permanente Colorado attempts to ensure the online directory contains up-to-date information. The printed directory is current as of the date of publication.

If you request it, your request for hard copies of the provider directory remains until you leave Kaiser Permanente or request that hard copies be discontinued.
Kaiser Permanente considers the following factors as it builds and maintains provider networks:
- Size and demographics of the population to be served
- The inventory of provider and facility types required to serve the population
- Practitioner-to-member ratios and geographic access standards
- Application of credentialing criteria encompassing but not limited to educational training, licensing, professional experience, board certification, and professional references
You may select a primary care provider (PCP) from family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine. When possible, we encourage you to choose a PCP whose office is in a Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building. You may have a higher copayment and/or coinsurance with certain PCP providers. Please refer to your “Schedule of Benefits (Who Pays What)” for additional details. Use the Provider Affiliation dropdown to sort to Kaiser Permanente providers.
An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.
