About me

I am originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, but after spending 8 years training in New York and California, I decided that I wanted to return to the mountain west and fell in love with Denver. I love the outdoors and plan to take advantage of the many recreational opportunities here in beautiful Colorado, including skiing and mountain biking. I love to spend time with my family. I have 2 dogs, an Australian shepherd and a pug/Pekingese mix. I chose ophthalmology as a specialty because the eye is fascinating, and it is very rewarding to help my patients obtain better vision and eye health.

About my practice

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, I care for a wide variety of eye conditions including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma and eyelid disorders. I also perform cataract surgery. I look forward to seeing my patients and enjoy learning about them. I respect my patients as partners in maintaining their health. I take pride in making sure that my patients feel comfortable, feel listened to, and have a great experience. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren’t spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve.

How I thrive

I spend most of my free time with my wife and kids. We love to explore the outdoors, go to museums and watch movies together. One of my passions is mountain biking and the trails around Denver have not disappointed. I also enjoy gardening and doing small home remodel projects. I have 2 dogs and a cat.

Information in this online directory is updated periodically and applies to commercial plans underwritten by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado. The availability of physicians, hospitals, providers, and services may change. To verify whether a provider accepts Kaiser Permanente plans, contact the provider directly. Current provider information is available at kp.org/locations. This information is updated within 72 business hours of receipt from providers. Kaiser Permanente of Colorado attempts to ensure the online directory contains up-to-date information. Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans' contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of the members' KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.

Information about a practitioner is provided to us by the practitioner or the practitioner's network, or is obtained as part of the credentialing process. An authorization or referral may be required to access some providers in this directory. If you have questions, contact Member Services.

Referrals to affiliated/contracted physicians/providers in Denver/Boulder

Affiliated/contracted physicians/providers are not part of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG). They are physicians/providers who have a contract with the CPMG.

If your CPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from CPMG, he or she will refer you to an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.

You must have a written referral to the affiliated/contracted physician/provider in order for Kaiser Permanente Colorado to cover the services. A referral is a written authorization from Kaiser Permanente for you to receive a covered service from an affiliated/contracted physician/provider.
