I was born in Arizona but have spent most of my life in southern California where I attended the University of California for my undergraduate degree in Biology followed by my M.D. degree from UCLA. I did my Family Medicine residency at the Santa Monica-UCLA Hospital where I served as chief resident during my final year. I then joined the clinical faculty at UCLA and worked there for 10 years as a primary care physician also training medical students and family medicine residents. As an Assistant Clinical Professor in Family Medicine I enjoyed the challenges of teaching as well as the joys of caring for multiple generations of families. In 2011 my husband and I decided to move to Colorado to be close to family and raise our two children (3 including our dog) in a family-oriented and active community.
I chose Family Medicine because I enjoy taking care of whole families. I enjoy the relationships that I have built with my patients and hope that they view me as a trusted advisor and confidant with regards to their healthcare concerns. I enjoy pediatrics and geriatrics and most people in between. I believe strongly in preventative medicine.
Outside of work my family is most important to me. My husband and I enjoy skiing and hiking and spending time with our son and daughter. I love to read and travel, and have taken flying lessons in the past. I have also enjoyed medical volunteer work such as a trip to Albania refugee camps during the Kosovo crisis.
