Where I practice
I am originally from Southern California, but have chosen to live and thrive in beautiful Colorado. I received my MD from the University of California, Irvine, and completed my residency training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, serving as Chief Resident during my last year of training. After residency, I joined the U.S. Navy and served on active duty for five years. I have been working for Kaiser Permanente since 2007 and am thrilled to be part of an organization that is forward thinking and constantly striving for better patient care, outcomes, cost, and quality.
About my practice
My goal is to collaborate with patients and empower them to make the best decisions about health care for them in their life. Often solutions come from the patients as they know what is right for them. I love being part of the prenatal journey and helping women have healthy babies. I enjoy doing procedures, from minor office procedures to major surgeries including minimally invasive surgery. I advocate a step-wise approach of treatment from minor procedures culminating in major surgery when the situation warrants, and the risk/benefit ratio is favorable.
How I thrive
When not at work I love to travel. Since working for Kaiser Permanente, I have travelled to India, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Italy, Tanzania, as well as made frequent trips to visit my nieces and nephew in Southern California. I love the mountains and like to hike, bike, snow shoe, ski, and read. I look forward to sharing my passion for great health and happy living with my patients.
