Where I practice
I grew up in Washington state, but consider Colorado my home. I first moved to Colorado for college and later returned to be near my husband’s family. I have 2 sons and 2 dogs who help make life both fun and busy. The most rewarding part of being a physician is building relationships with patients and their families.
About my practice
I was called to developmental pediatrics because I feel that all children have the ability to make progress and have strengths that should be celebrated. As a developmental pediatrician, I work with children who have autism spectrum disorder, global developmental delays, intellectual disability, ADHD, learning disabilities, and developmental differences associated with chronic medical conditions. My job is to help assess medical conditions that may contribute to or go along with developmental and behavioral differences and provide recommendations on how best to support the child and family in day-to-day life. I am lucky to work with a team of professionals, including psychologists, therapists, nurses, social workers and educators, who all bring unique perspectives and resources for each patient. Every family is on their own journey. My goal is to be a resource and support to help families find the choices that are right for them.
How I thrive
I love being outdoors, including running, skiing, hiking and camping. I am having a great time introducing my boys to all the wonderful experiences Colorado has to offer. I also love music, from musical theater to dance parties in the kitchen.
