Where I practice
I grew up In Wisconsin where I earned my medical degree at University of Wisconsin in Madison. In my journey to become a pediatrician, I have developed a passion for volunteerism and public health. I was an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer for one year in Chicago where I worked to improve access to health care and immunizations in underserved communities. I have also traveled to Belize, Ecuador, and Peru to volunteer in various clinics and hospitals, working to improve my Spanish language skills and learning about the practice of medicine in different cultures.
About my practice
My residency training at The Children's Hospital in Denver has provided me with a strong foundation to build my practice. I strive to listen carefully, to communicate openly, and to make decisions together with patients and their families to achieve a healthy outcome for each individual. I am fluent in Spanish and welcome Spanish-speaking families to my practice.
How I thrive
I thrive on family, friends, and the freedom to explore the beautiful surroundings here in Colorado. I love to be outdoors enjoying the mountains or the many scenic parks of Denver. Running, hiking, skiing and traveling are some of my favorite pastimes. My most recent travels were to Alaska with my family where my brother works as a float-plane pilot. He flew us over the Mendenhall glacier to a remote lodge outside of Juneau where we had an up-close-and-personal view of a black bear as we enjoyed a salmon bake. It was an amazing adventure!
