Where I practice
I am a native of Colorado and can’t imagine living anywhere else. From a young age I was interested in medicine and health in general. My undergraduate degree is from University of Colorado, Boulder in Kinesiology/Applied Physiology and Speech, Hearing, and Language science. After spending time in the work force, I realized my passion for nursing and ultimately decided to go back to school to be a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor’s, Master’s and Clinical Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005 because I’m drawn to their evidence based medicine, emphasis on prevention and health care model.
About my practice
My philosophy as a Nurse Practitioner is to partner with patients to improve their overall quality of life. I try to provide care that encompasses one’s biological, psychological, and spiritual needs to meet their health goals. I enjoy working with individuals across the age spectrum and establishing long term relationships. My professional interests are in prevention and women’s health. I believe in partnering with my patients and providing education to support them as they navigate through their own health journeys.
How I thrive
When I’m not in clinic you will most likely find me outside enjoying the great Colorado scenery (hiking, snowshoeing) with my husband, son, and our dogs. I enjoy exercising and will try any new work out. I enjoy reading, watching sports, knitting, baking, and am currently learning how to use a sewing machine.
