I grew up outside Cleveland, Ohio dreaming of the West, and actually spending a good amount of time there. I received my undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Michigan and graduated medical school from Ohio State University. At that point, I was particularly interested in working with Urban, Latino communities and did my residency in Family Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospitals at the Columbia University medical campus in New York City. That is where I met my husband and we decided to move to Australia after getting married.
I really wanted to broaden my experience, so I lived and practiced medicine in Townsville, North Queensland and received my fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practice. After a few years Down Under and one little "koala" later, we started to miss our families and came back to my husband's hometown in Connecticut. Our Australian experience spoiled us with sunshine, an outdoor life and friendly people...which is what drew us to Colorado and allowed me to realize a childhood dream. I truly believe in the essence of Family Medicine--taking care of the whole family in a holistic manner. I do like to focus on preventive care and working with patients to achieve health and wellness -- so you can be your best self and live your best life. My areas of special interest are women's health and pediatrics. I am fluent in Spanish and very much enjoy working with the Latino Community as well.
Spending time with my family keeps me happy and grounded, whether playing at the playground, enjoying a nice meal together or travelling the world. We came to Colorado for the outdoors and particularly enjoy camping, hiking and skiing...or just taking a long walk and drinking in the sunset over the mountains.
