Where I practice
I grew up in Louisiana and Texas loving great food, science, sports and dance. While I considered careers as a professional dancer or an interior designer, I ultimately pursued medicine because of my desire to take on a challenge, make long-lasting connections with people, and help improve the health of our communities. I subsequently received my undergraduate and medical degrees in Texas and then relocated to Colorado for my residency training and a new adventure. My husband and I fell in love with our outdoor and active lifestyle here and decided to make Denver our home for good. Throughout medical school and residency, I was actively involved in community service opportunities and leadership roles, and I hope to continue this through my career. After working in private practice for a few years, I am excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team!
About my practice
I love the close relationships that are developed with patients through the field of obstetrics and gynecology, and I appreciate the privilege of educating and empowering women through their different stages of life, from adolescence to menopause and beyond. I have been well trained in high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures and surgeries, including advanced laparoscopy and vaginal and laparoscopic hysterectomies. I enjoy the variety in my day-to-day work and have a passion for delivering babies, adolescent gynecology, and contraception. My goals are to take the time to get to know each of my patients, understand their medical issues and incorporate evidence-based medicine so we can partner together to establish a plan that will work best for them. I strive to be efficient, empathetic and skilled in providing care.
How I thrive
I try to take advantage of any time outside of work to spend quality time with my family and friends. I make it a point to stay active with exercise and outdoor activities, such as snowboarding and hiking. While I enjoy trying new restaurants and a night out on the town, sharing a cozy weekend morning with a scrumptious homemade breakfast and my family is also one of my favorite ways to recharge.
