Where I practice
I love all that Colorado has to offer, including the outdoor activities and the great city life. I am very active and have many hobbies, including biking (mountain and road), skiing (backcountry, skate, downhill, and cross country), CrossFit, hiking, snowboarding and running. Before medical school, I was a sponsored mountain bike racer! I decided to go into orthopedics after I had my ACL reconstructed when I was younger. I realized that my passion is repairing and treating musculoskeletal problems so patients can regain function. I love being a doctor because I get to help people. I am committed to helping people become and maintain the best version of themselves they can be.
About my practice
I take care of all upper extremity problems from the shoulder/clavicle, elbow, wrist and hand and all of the structures in between those joints. I treat patients with arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, nerve problems, sports problems such as elbow UCL tears, and functional problems in the arm and hand. I treat a significant amount of upper extremity trauma like distal radius and hand fractures. I also enjoy treating complex elbow fractures. I believe in partnering with my patients so that we can come up with the treatment plan together. I try to focus on the individual needs of each patient and approach their problem from their point of view.
How I thrive
I thrive by staying active with all of my hobbies and spending as much time as possible with my husband and four children. As a family, we enjoy skiing, going out to dinner and just hanging out. The kids have lots of school activities we attend, including basketball, soccer, theater, choir and band concerts. We also like to travel. We recently went to Italy!
