Where I practice
I was raised in Olympia, Washington, along the beautiful Puget Sound. In an attempt to escape the weather, I attended college at the University of San Diego (Go Toreros!). I spent two years volunteering with AmeriCorps in Oregon and Colorado. My incredible experiences with AmeriCorps solidified my desire to become a physician. I trained at New York Medical College for medical school. New York City was an active and fun place to live, however I was ready to move back west. I completed my obstetrics and gynecology residency training at the University of Colorado. The patients, mentors and friends I have here make me happy to call Colorado my new forever home!
About my practice
I feel privileged and fortunate to provide care to women. Women are amazing! They are powerful and compassionate; they are the foundation of their families and they deserve to be cared for by outstanding doctors. I view medicine as a partnership between patients and doctors. I work with my patients to create a shared plan of care for their problems. I employ a combination of medications, surgery, holistic and multidisciplinary methods to treat medical problems. Most importantly, I enjoy creating lasting relationships with my patients throughout all phases of their life.
How I thrive
I thrive by enjoying all that Colorado has to offer! My husband and I enjoy taking hikes in the mountains, cross-country skiing, cooking, stretching in yoga classes, and spending time with our cat, Mr. Henry. Together we are navigating the excitement, challenges and fun of raising a young son. In my free time I enjoy dancing (I was trained in classical ballet for 14 years), creating my perfect Pinterest house online and reading Harry Potter books. When I travel to the Pacific Northwest to visit family, we enjoy fishing and crabbing for our own meals. My favorite things are a huge belly laugh with friends, chocolate and a good cup of coffee.
