Where I practice
I grew up in the Midwest, but decided to move west after graduating from college. I landed in Colorado and fell in love. I worked (and played) for several years in the Boulder area, where I met my husband. We moved to California so that I could attend medical school and residency in the Bay Area. Colorado always felt like home, so we were excited to move back after I completed my residency training. We have 2 children and too many cats. We love to spend time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, being active, listening to music, cooking and traveling.
About my practice
I feel privileged to be a part of Kaiser Permanente. This health care system allows me to take the best care of my patients. My background as an osteopathic physician goes hand in hand with Kaiser Permanente’s focus on preventive medicine. I love to take care of women and educate them about all of life's stages, from the teenage years to the reproductive years and pregnancy, menopause and beyond. My goal is to help patients understand their health and condition(s), then to educate them on the best treatment options. Together, we can decide the right path to health. I work as a team with other providers and pharmacists to coordinate my patients’ care. I especially enjoy the surgical aspect of ob-gyn and have a special interest in minimally invasive procedures such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and laparoscopic hysterectomy.
How I thrive
I thrive in many ways. Being active is very important to me and exercise supports my mental and physical well-being. I love to run, hike, swim, bike and do yoga. You might even find me running a 10K, doing a triathlon, participating in a Spartan race, or cycling in a 100-mile fundraiser! My family helps me thrive as well. We love to be outside together, ski, participate in many sports, cook, travel and just hang out.
