Where I practice
I am a Colorado native. I completed my medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado before heading to the University of Wisconsin for my vitreoretinal surgery fellowship. My wife is originally from Wisconsin, and I spent two years in private practice near her hometown before the Colorado mountains and sunshine drew us back. We have two beautiful children, and when we aren't busy chasing them around the house, we like to explore new parts of the city and take day trips to the surrounding mountains.
About my practice
I believe that vision is central to how we experience our world. We have three surgeons in the retinal department who work closely with the other specialists in the department of ophthalmology. Our nurses, technicians, staff and physicians are dedicated to providing each and every patient with exceptional medical and surgical care. We use state-of-the-art, office-based imaging and the latest surgical equipment to ensure each patient is getting the best care possible. We do everything we can to get to know patients personally, communicate clearly and provide care compassionately. I strive to always provide patients with the very best outcome for their situation.
How I thrive
From a very young age, faith and family have been the cornerstones of my well-being. I am fortunate to have a wonderful family and community from which I draw energy on a daily basis. Spending time with them helps re-align my priorities and gives me perspective. I also try to stay physically active. I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing, snowboarding, golf and tennis.
