Where I practice
I am a Denver native but took a small hiatus from my time in Denver to attend College at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. I completed my medical training at the University of Colorado, including serving as a Chief Resident for The Children’s Hospital of Denver. I am the oldest of four children, and my parents are educators. I was married in 2008 to a Baltimore native. I have three children. I have been at Kaiser Permanente for almost 10 years. I really enjoy my work and I feel that it is a great place to give and receive care.
About my practice
Practicing Pediatrics allows me to get to know my patients, ideally from birth, watch them grow, make a difference in their lives, and help them to reach their goals. The most fulfilling part of my job is getting to know my patients and their families and watching each patient grow and thrive. I try to practice evidence-based medicine. I feel it is important to communicate to patients and families the rationale behind my medical decisions and elicit their questions and concerns. I have a strong interest in children with special needs. Additionally, I whole-heartedly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s aim of fostering healthy living. I have a leadership role within the Pediatrics Department at Colorado Permanente Medical Group.
How I thrive
I love being a mom and spending quality time with my three young children. As a family we love to be outdoors, going to the mountains, the beach, cooking, and gardening. I try to take some time every day for myself, to help me live a balanced, happy life.
