Where I practice
I am proud to be a Colorado native. What a wonderful place to live. I enjoy exploring what Colorado has to offer with my husband and daughter. I became a psychotherapist because I want to help others improve their lives in meaningful ways. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone who has struggled with a substance use disorder get into recovery and improve their physical and mental health. I am blessed to be a part of that journey. That is what keeps me coming back to work day after day.
About my practice
The chemical dependency treatment services at Kaiser Permanente provide high-quality, affordable care to members seeking treatment for substance use. We also provide services to family members who may be affected by a loved one’s substance use. We have a defined range of care which uses the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to inform and direct appropriate care. Group therapy is a principal component of chemical dependency care. Patient treatment goals are designed to meet individual needs while considering the individual’s readiness and motivation to change.
How I thrive
I try to stay physically active. I love to go hiking, go bike riding, and participate in various 5K and 10K events with my family. I am currently working to incorporate more mindfulness practices into my life through learning meditation and yoga. When I can find the time, I enjoy doing a variety of craft projects, especially cross-stitch. I love to learn about a variety of topics related to both my job and the world in general. There is always more to learn.
