Kaiser Permanente provider
My gender: Male
Yes, my office is accepting new patients. May require referral.
I completed my medical training at Naval Medical Center San Diego and proudly served nine years in the Navy, the last two years as a staff surgeon. I joined a large general surgery practice in Atlanta for nine years before moving to Colorado, where my wife is from and we always planned to live. I enjoy my practice and getting to know my patients, and I also enjoy my time away from work. We bike, hike, ski, run, and enjoy traveling. We try to fully embrace all that Colorado has to offer.
I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2008 and feel that this system and group of providers offer the best care of any with which I have been involved. I place a premium on educating you about your surgical disease process, understanding your baseline health, and formulating a unique, best plan for your situation. I listen to understand your concerns, and can answer some questions by email, phone or video visit if you have questions but don’t need an in-person appointment. About 60 percent of my surgical practice is breast care, and we have created a multispecialty breast team that is on par with any in the country. This allows us to provide optimal, timely and personalized care, resulting in great outcomes and great professional satisfaction. I am proud that we can deliver such outstanding care to our patients. While I do perform a high volume of breast surgery, my practice also includes classic general surgery, including endocrine, foregut, laparoscopic, hepatobiliary, GI and abdominal wall surgeries.
I love to read, usually about history. I am learning to cook (but have a ways to go), and greatly enjoy time with my family. I love to watch and play sports, and I am an avid Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche and Buckeyes fan.
