Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. As a pediatric hematologist/oncologist, I care for children who are affected by blood diseases or cancer. When you choose a subspecialist in this field, it is very important that you feel comfortable with that physician, and I hope this page will help you to get to know me.
I grew up in New York and attended medical school at New York Medical College. I completed my pediatric residency at Tufts-New England Medical Center and my pediatric oncology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In high school, I developed a special interest in children's oncology due to personal experience with family and friends affected by childhood and young adult cancers. Currently, I reside in south Orange County with my husband and 2 small children. I have experience working in several academic and cancer centers on both coasts that have participated in the Children's Oncology Group, an international organization dedicated to improving the care of children with cancer.
About my practice
My practice offers care delivered by a medical team that includes an oncology nursing staff, chemotherapy pharmacists, child-life specialist, social workers, art therapists, clinical research assistants, and administrative staff. Members who don't need to be hospitalized will receive their care from members of this team. Our in-hospital services also include an experienced oncology nursing staff and support from pediatricians who specialize in hospital care.
How I thrive
I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, and running and have completed in several triathlons, including a full-distance Ironman triathlon. While participating in these triathlons, I have raised money for Team in Training, which supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I also enjoy travelling, local road trips with my family as well as international travel.
