Where I practice
Hello! I am so glad that you are visiting my Web page. When you come to my office for your appointment, I hope to learn about you and get to know you very well, so it's only fitting that you be able to learn some things about me prior to our first meeting.
I was born in Lafayette, Indiana. I am proud to say that I have been an honorary Purdue Boilermaker since birth! I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed both high school and college there. I continued my education in Nebraska and went to medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Although I enjoyed growing up in Nebraska, I did not love the Midwest's snowy winters. Fortunately, I was able to move to the wonderful, warm state of California and do my internship and residency in Los Angeles at LA County's King-Drew Medical Center.
About my practice
I believe in the adage to "treat others the way that you would like to be treated." I incorporate this belief into every aspect of my life. I practice obstetrics and gynecology the same way that I would like a physician to take care of my family members or me. I never forget that although I am the physician today, I could certainly be the patient tomorrow. I consider it a privilege to be entrusted with the health care of others.
How I thrive
My family is extremely important to me. I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband, and our three young children. I also enjoy reading, dancing, singing, and watching movies. I also like to stay physically active. I have completed two Los Angeles Marathons, and I plan to begin running half marathons.
