Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to have the chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I decided to get into medicine because I love helping people. I went into ophthalmology because I enjoy helping people see better, and I chose pediatrics because I love working with kids.
I was born in Southern California (at a Kaiser Permanente hospital!) and grew up in Cerritos. I come from a large family based here in Southern California (over 30 of us!) although our family is originally from India. Our family has a healthy blend of an appreciation of its Indian heritage as well as a love for our Western culture. I went to Stanford University for my undergraduate training, attended medical school at the University of Illinois, defrosted for a little bit, then completed my internship in San Diego. Finally, I completed my residency at the University of Iowa in ophthalmology and my fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in pediatric ophthalmology. I am board certified.
About my practice
We have a great team here at Kaiser Permanente. My practice covers the entire age spectrum. I have some days in which the ages of my patients range from just a few days old to 92 years old! I take great pride in trying to provide outstanding care for my patients and have really enjoyed my time with Kaiser Permanente.
How I thrive
When I have spare time, I like to spend it with family and friends enjoying beautiful Southern California. I like spending time in the outdoors, going on hikes, exploring the beaches, listening to live music, and discovering new places to eat.
