About me
Radiologists are an important part of the team of physicians taking care of patients. However, often we do not get to meet our patients. This Web page provides me an opportunity to introduce our practice philosophy and myself.
Biography
My parents encouraged me to do what I loved. I had always dreamed of becoming a doctor, because to me, the best profession was one where I would be able to help others. After completing medical school in Pakistan, I moved to the US in 1997. My wife is a California native and we now have two young children. Putting in my best effort and seeing positive patient outcomes gives me a lot of satisfaction at work. While at home, our children are the center of gravity. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and watching movies.
About my practice
I am privileged to be a part of a team of extremely dedicated doctors, nurses, and health care professionals at Kaiser Permanente. We take our responsibilities very seriously and everyone works together for the common goal of better health of our members. In the radiology department, we employ state-of-the-art imaging and the highest standards of care. We aim to provide the appropriate imaging studies in a timely fashion with accurate interpretations. I find our new electronic health record system to be a valuable tool in getting additional clinical information, which is so vital in achieving these goals.
How I thrive
I am fortunate to have a very supportive family and a very satisfying job which helps keep the stress level low. Having a balanced life is the key to a healthy life. I relax by doing light exercise three to four times a week and spending outdoor time with my family. I believe disease prevention is a worthy investment. Kaiser Permanente provides some excellent guidelines and programs to this end. I urge all the members to utilize these resources just as I do, and try to achieve as much balance in their lives as possible to help them thrive.
