Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page.
I received my education and training at UCLA, where I was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, where I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. I did my general surgery training at UC San Diego Medical Center, and was awarded the chairman’s prize there and given an award for being the top teaching resident.
About my practice
I am a board certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to my regular surgical practice at Kaiser Permanente, I serve on several of our organizations committees, including Quality Oversight and Health Information Management. My practice in general surgery includes a wide range of procedures, from performing emergency surgeries on patients with peritonitis to making small incisions to fix hernias. I also perform hernia, gallbladder, colon, thyroid, and laparoscopic surgeries. A lot of my time is spent providing care for breast cancer patients. I enjoy taking care of patients with all types of conditions. Every day presents a new challenge.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I spend as much time as possible with my wife and three children. I enjoy UCLA Bruins games and playing a round of golf. My free time is spent gardening at home.
