Where I practice
Hello! Welcome to my Web page. I am pleased to introduce myself, and share a bit about my pediatric ophthalmology practice.
I was born and raised in Egypt, and arrived in California with my family at the age of nine. I come from a long line of physicians, and have been intrigued by the medical profession since I was a very young child. While participating in medical missions in North Africa and South America, I discovered that medicine – and specifically, ophthalmology was my mission and calling in life. I was blessed to do all my medical training in California, which allowed me to stay near my family and close-knit community. Throughout my medical training, I volunteered with various organizations, and always found my greatest joy interacting with children. I was thrilled to discover the specialty of pediatric ophthalmology. It gives me the privilege of caring for children and their eyes. I began my career with Kaiser shortly after completing my pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at University of Southern California - Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
About my practice
I treat childhood disorders of the eye including strabismus and amblyopia, and partner with my patients and their families to implement early intervention strategies that enable better vision for life.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my family, friends, and church group. I love hosting guests, and cooking healthy meals with vegetables from my garden. I enjoy taking walks on the beach with my family. I am also interested in painting and photography.
